One of my favorite songs! Thanks for posting, Charlie. That was a good interview. He is a different style guitarist from most of what you hear, and you can get the sense of why from the interview. It is funny how circumstances such as not being able to afford amps can influence a style which turns out to be one of an artist's trademarks after a while.
I want to thank you guys. The thirty day thread has been an amazing tool for helping me with my shaving skills. It just occurred to me that I have shaved three weeks with a straight, without so much as a weeper. I give you guys credit because of your tips and encouragement. Thanks again. Route 66 Sweeney Todd B-400 Brush by Tom Giesen and Forsthoff Adoration Lucky Tiger Ogallala Bay Rum Have a great weekend!
Thank you Jim. I used some Juniper that creeps across a retaining wall in the back lawn for the setting of the photo. It helps hold the stuff in place so it doesn't drop.
January 21 SOTD:. Stirling Synthetic Brush Ever-Ready 1914 Latha SS Latha Post Shave Was it ever nice to shave in my own bathroom this morning. The 1914 did it's job so well, it was just a smooth shave. I really find that the Latha soap is a good performer, and it left my face feeling very good. I would actually say it is close to my top three in this area. If only the scent was better. I hope everyone has a great day!
Thank you, Clint. Definitely nice to be home, it will be even better next weekend when I get to stay home for a few weeks. This project is scheduled to go through November, so I'll bee racking up the frequent flyer miles.
I feel your pain. My first job out of college was an Auditing job that had me on the road for 45 weeks a year.

I was still in that job for the first year of our marriage. Leave every Monday morning and back every Friday. Finally got a job with only about 20% travel. After a month at home my wife called the new boss and volunteered me for all the travel audits. She said I was much easier to live with in small doses. I think "Clint Years" work like "Doug Years"
My wife is ready for me to be back by the end of the week. By the end of the weekend, I think she is ready for me to be gone!
January Focus Diversion ------- 相撲の戦い!------- Route 66 BSH & B-400 Tux Dual Gillette #195; E4 VS. E4 Fresh Voskhod blade Alum, New Old Spice Wonderful lather from the Route 66 Barbershop Hop soap. Tuxedo knot in a B-400 is a hard to beat combo. Then comes the dueling FatBoys. The Shave Gods keep putting these in my path & in keeping with my policy Shave Off! After a time in the steamy bath, an aggressive scrub & massage the challenger entered the ring. Both fighters are from the same Birth Year and Quarter. Sharing a new piece of Russian steel I put blade to left/right face. Three passes with no errors at the final bell. While the Newcomer felt just slightly harsher, considering it came onto the mat set at nine, it matched the Champ for great reduction. A DFS was had by both sides of my face. Alum judged it a near tie, slight advantage going to the Champ. Splashes of P&G Old Spice were enjoyed all around. The Newcomer will be going to his new home soon. The Champ still occupies his Dojo. (Insert Beer Commercial) Good shaves Yall!
