There is a contractor in our neighborhood remodeling the home of a new resident. She brought him with her from Texas. I showed him my razors and brushes. Yesterday, he asked me if I would make him a brush with a hammer. I got to thinking, and this is what I came up with. He really liked it. He had told his wife about it and told her that he really hoped I could do something with the hammer motif. Well, I did, and he really liked it.
That did not even dawn on me. If I were to do it over, I would have burned a 195 on the brush and called it 195 and made the hammer 196.
OK. Check it out. I made this handle without my lathe. I planned it out and shaped it with a drum sander, dremmel, and sand paper. I have put a clear coat on it, and it really pops. I will post pics of that later.
^ Ah! That's "more better." Nice work! (Now, you need a matching razor handle with a brush on it. Just sayin.)
Nice! Like the color a lot! Any details on the knot? Looks a little bigger and deeper? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Looks great, but it's only set on 1. I think you have a winner! What did you do to the other 195 brush?
The handle is 3.25 inches. The knot is Maggard 24mm synthetic. I will set it about 52mm. It is just stuck in right now.
