Today, I was expecting some knots from Whipped Dog, but they evidently have gotten bogged down in the USPS. However, a pure badger knot arrived via China Post in just 10 days. I really did not expect it for another two to three weeks. This is the knot I had ordered for my #5 handle. The hole was just wide enough, but I had to make it deeper to give it a 50 mm loft.

Thanks, I've seen them listed and often wondered. How deep do you mount them? And what diameter hole is needed? Steve
I initially made the hole to accommodate a nickel and about 3/8 inch deep. When the knot arrived I used my dremmel and made the hole about .068" deep. The left me with about a 2 inch loft (about 50mm). I will post pictures after the bloom.
