After having read so many positive comments about Stirling soap - and that I like to support Artisan products when/if possible - I went ahead and placed a smaller order to try it out for myself. The package arrived today (took maybe 3-4 days or so - so very fast shipping) and I am very thrilled and excited to try it all out. Two bars of soaps, one shaving soap and two shaving soap samples: The samples that were included are very generous - as you can see below they are about 1/3 of a regular puck of soap. Much appreciated as it will really give me a chance to test them out and see how well they fit me (or my face rather). Rod is a class act to deal with and I can't wait to shave tomorrow ;-)
i like the blackcherry stiriling soap....a really different soap scent. i also have orange crush but dont use that one very much.
I received my glacial puck from Stirling soap today. I must add, I don't have much experience with a puck. I put it in my mug, started to swirl it away. Wow! The lather I got with little to no work, The smell? The name says it all! Cold as ice! Very slick, I used my R41 with a personna lab. I had no irritation on my neck at all. My eyes did feel the methanol, but no big deal.. Rod also included a bar of soap. What a great man and company. Stirling soap has gain my business.
I got my latest order from Rod yesterday: Glacial, Spice, Ozark Mtn.(free sample), Lavender & Sage(free sample), Spice bath soap, Barbershop bath soap(free sample). I shaved with the Glacial today. WOW! I love the Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic, but Glacial takes menthol to a whole new planet.
You guys got me so excited that I ordered some samples. I am getting samples for Glacial, Black Ice, Ozark Mountain, Cool, Lemongrass and Cajeput, & Frozen Tundra. I can't wait. Now to order a hand thrown mug or bowl...
I have the Lemongrass and Cajeput and really like it. Their soaps lather well for me and give me great shaves. I haven't tried the mentholated ones, though. Guess I'll have to order one before the end of the year...
