I melted a puck of VDH Luxury in the microwave. I stopped the process just in time to save the logo. Wasn't tryin', just lucky.

So why did you melt it in the first place? Aiming to mix in another fragrance? Or mixing with another soap?

 

Nope. Just to conform to the shape of bowl . Melting also "glues" it to the bowl so it doesn't slip and slide around while loading the brush.

 

I may be a "mad scientist" when it comes to experimenting with shave combinations that include shave soaps, but I'm not ready to involve the micro.

 

Only took two 12-second bursts on high. Easy-peasy.

IMPORTANT NOTE to those who have never done this:
A - make sure you're using a microwave safe container
2 - make sure the soap you want to melt will melt. Some, such as MWF or Tabac, will smoke and burn. IF IN DOUBT, ASK US FIRST.

 

I want to dip chips in it.
