Watched Ghostbusters the remake. I thought it was good. Especially for the old crew making cameos.

    Sacrilege!

I've watched Predators the other night, it is an OK flick though I wish it didn't introduce a bigger badder Predator.

Lol. I'm still a huge fan of the originals of Ghostbusters. As for Predators, eh it was ok. The original first two, awesome. AvP, bot bad but the old ones still can kick those around all day.

Did the new Ghostbusters deserve all the hate it received? No, because it isn't a memorable movie. I found it meh. I also felt like they were trying to be funny with some slapstick. Just didn't have the same feel.

I enjoyed both AvP movies. The first's big problem in my opinion was that it was rated PG-13 when every other Alien and Predator movie is rated R. The second was what I wanted, just some good Alien vs Predator action with humans around to be slaughtered.

And I'd take both AvPs over Prometheus (I know, I know, not a prequel) and Covenant (maybe a prequel? but doesn't make any sense).

    Sneakers - Great hacking movie.

Now You See Me 2 - Still undecided.

    Best line in Sneakers: "Stop."

And No Country For Old Men has the best bad guy. Ever.

Right? That coin toss scene for me, was one of the most suspenseful of the entire movie. I so hoping he wouldn't kill that chill old dude.

    I want a Winnebago.

I find it funny how much money they asked for. When divided they would have each gotten not even 30k.

The Mummy with Tom Cruise. Meh.
I kept expecting Brendon Fraser to make a cameo.
The side kick was straight out of American Werewolf in London.

The Great Alone (2015). I give it 9/10. What can I say? I'm a documentary nerd!

Tropic Thunder - Perhaps Tom Cruise's best role. EVER.

Lean on Me - Morgan Freeman looks so young.

Stayed home from work today. So i watched some movies.

Mastermind - Based off a true story about a heist from Loomis Fargo, not my cup of tea. But I'm not really a fan of the actors/actresses who were the leads.

Trolls - Cute movie, but there are better animated movies out there. Like Epic.

And now I've started Creed. I enjoyed it the first time. Will this be the start of a new dynasty?

Thanks for the hint. Decent movie. Very limited number of cast members, but they made the story work. I wonder about the cultural bits I missed. The daughter/ father/ grandfather dynamic may have had some unstated & assumed understood references.

The English synopsis (while badly translated in places) is helpful.

Now that I have a little more of an ear for the Dutch, I'm rewatching it. I'm not sure that it would work as an English-lang film or for an American audience... as you noted, limited cast. Also limited action. No explosions, or car chases, or buildings exploding.
