Terminator Genisys Meh. Like most movies nowadays it’s one CGI scene after another. This movie had many of the elements of a terminator movie but it didn’t have the right feel or heart to me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ELF Where I'm not a fan of Ed Asner I really like Will Farrell and especially Zooey Deschanel. Hard to believe that Emily Deschanel (Bones) is her sister.
I take it you don’t believe 9/11 was an inside job then? What a whack job Ed is. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
If only that was the only nutty thing he has ever said. To me, it's amazing that he can play in comedies.
We Love You Sally Carmichael- small fun, indie film that manages to be interesting and humorous without resorting to profanity, violence or explicit sex.
Yeah - watched A Christmas Story this morning - tradition. Yesterday I took the wife to see Star Wars. She loved it - I hated it.
I watched a 1935 version of A Christmas Carol. The original was titled Scrooge, this version was colorized which probably detracted from the film. Scrooge's hair was different colors in different scenes. The film quality was poor, but it was an interesting rendition. Seymour Hicks was Scrooge, he was in an earlier silent version of the film and many stage performances in the early 1900's. The 1951 version with Alistair Sim is still my favorite version though.
Bright with Will Smith. It’s a buddy cop movie set in the future. The twist? Elves, Orcs and other magical creatures have returned... I though it interesting if somewhat preachy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
The 1953 version isn't my favorite, but for what they were trying to do at that time, I think they pulled off a decent job. My favorites are ... 1951 Christmas Carol Alister Sim 1970 Scrooge Albert Finney 1992 Muppet Christmas Carol 1999 Christmas Carol Patrick Stewart 1971 A Christmas Carol Chuck Jones
My other favorites are not actually movies. One is Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol. The other is an episode of th Odd Couple , in which they tell the story, using Oscar as Scrooge.
Enjoy, I think I've seen them all multiple times over the years. My favorite character in Liberty Valence was Liberty Valence of course. Villains seem to get much better roles. One of my favorites is missing though, "Angel and the Badman".
