I just watched this movie called "The Imitation Game" on Netflix. Awesome movie. Way better than I thought it would be.
Today I watched the 90s Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie, since I plan on seeing the new one tomorrow. And tonight I watched Pitch Perfect. I really enjoy Acapella.
Haven't watched as many movies in the past couple of years as I used to. Recently we watched "The Accountant." I thought it was excellent, with some twists in addition to a good action movie. Plus, I'm an accountant, so I tell everyone that movie was typical of most accountants....don't mess with the bean counters, LOL!
Last night was Shaft's Big Score. Meh. Nowhere near as good as the first one. Today was Strangers on a Train. Just as good and entertaining as it was the first time a couple years ago. Patricia Hitchcock plays such a great character. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
This morning I saw the new Power Rangers movie. It was OK. I felt like it was trying to be too serious.
Strained my back pretty good yesterday so I layer on the couch all day with a hot water bottle. Started my day with, Dead Ringer which turned into a pretty decent suspense film with Bette Davis and Karl Malden. Next was, 13 West Street which was an okay revenge film. I thought Rod Steiger was really good. My last film of the day was, Captain America Civil War. Pretty disappointing. I just couldn't get into the premise that they would turn on each other so quickly. I must admit though that I'm not much of a fan of any of the movies. It was nice to see that their destruction of cities and civilian casualties was finally addressed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The problem with movies is that they never fully address how much time has lapsed (except Nick of Time, which took place over the entire runtime). The movie really wasn't anything like the comic book which is ashame, because in the comic Captain America realizes he is wrong. And I really wouldn't say they are turning on each other. They were obviously pulling punches with each other. Tonight I'm in the hotel, and I've watched RED and RED 2. First is better in my opinion.
I must have missed one of the movies too because I didn't know who the red dude was or the chick that could shoot energy balls. My biggest beef with RED was they didn't let Ernest Borgnine kick any butt. He was in The Wild Bunch for crying out loud. He deserved at least a couple kills. RED 2 was kind of lame but if I'm thinking of the right movie, John Malkovich's character was a little crazier and funny. The ending was pretty bad though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Yes, sounds like you need to watch The Avengers: Age of Ultron.... or not. Especially if they aren't your cup of tea. But that is where Vision (the red dude) and Scarlet Witch debut. Between Age of Ultron and Iron Man 3, you start to see where Tony Stark (Downy) is coming from.
With the wife out of town - I vegged out yesterday and watched the God Father Trilogy (9 hours). One of the satellite channels had it on continuously all day - great!
Just got done watching "RED". Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren. Action with laughs.
Agree - #3 took some effort to get through. But having spent 6 hours of my life on 1 and 2 I was committed.
