Thanks, I'm glad to have people along with me on this adventure! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
I've made the executive decision not to push any blade past 4 shaves. If i get 4 good shaves out of a blade I feel I've got my monies worth. That being said its time to pick a new blade for tomorrow. The Sputnik was fantastic and I enjoyed it greatly, I hope the next blade does as well: #18 The Personna Lab Blue, I'm really excited for this one!
I think you gifted me the Nacets haven't tried it yet, can't wait, I really am a kid at Christmas ... So many to try
Well, for some reason the Personna had a short lifespan, much shorter then I anticipated. It failed on the third shave and felt quite rough by the end. On to the next blade! #6 The Dorco Prime Platinum
Well I had two shaves with the Nacet, my impressions were that it wasnt as sharp as my favorite blades. The second shave was smoother then the first but not enough to redeem the blade. It will fall into my OK category. Time for another choosing: #12 the Gillette Rubie Hopefully this one does better as I generally tend to prefer platinum coated blades.
Well. The Gillette Rubie was no gem. It made the Nacet feel sharp. On to the next blade #9 Gillette Platinum I used this blade once before when I was experimenting with cold water shaving. I found it wasnt very comfortable but I later learned that cold water just wasnt for me so I put it back in the list and its number got called again. Hopefully round 2 with the platinum will have better results!
Well the second shave with the Gillette Platinum showed me that it wasn't nearly as sharp as I like. so we will move one. Next up to bat #15 Rapira Super Stainless (pink)
Totally concur about Gillette Platinum, no matter th angle I try, I can't get it to glide smoothly. Sorry so late to this thread, it's interesting to track results like this so methodically.
I got 4 great shaves with the Rapira Super Stainless which means it time to pick another blade! #18 The Treet Platinum
