I'm waiting for the major holidays to arrive before I make my soap orders. Best time to order with discounts.

Is their black and white knot the same as the APShaveCo tuxedo knot? I've wanted one for a while. The standard Maggard synthetic just didn't work out for me - way too scratchy and extremely painful against my face.

Good question, I don't have the answer. Hoping someone has compared them. APShaveCo's Tux is very soft, yet has enough backbone to load every hard soap I own. The downside for CONUS - it ships from Canada and has to go through Customs. That both takes time and makes for difficulty tracking your shipment.

I have one of each, and would say that it is too close for me to call. The Maggard knot that I have is set at a much higher loft than the Tuxedo, so it is difficult to get an apples for apples comparison.

    Very, very close.

The APShaveco is softer, less backbone.
Also I noticed when travelling the APShaveco dries faster
