Now I get compliments from you.... Just kidding thanks buddy but alas....it was SWMBO who took it... I am at work lol!
May 1st Starting of May's SR focus with a new custom Jacob Ray 7/8 razor in bone. I could not hone it no matter how hard I tried so I sent it to Glen, @gssixgun to be honed. Of course it came back with an awesome edge. This is a very heavy razor, so it took a little getting used too. The shave went smoothly except for the pimple I decapitated. Mayhem will start soon as I will use a rainstick for my next focus shave. Irritation A Closeness A Smoothness A Sharpness A
I find myself at a bit of a Focus cross roads. I have been working on straights since December, and I want to continue that path. However, I am also making an attempt to get a bit healthier by going to the gym M-W-F. This prevents me from shaving with straights these days. If it pleases the Cartel, I would like to pursue a two part Focus. 1) I would like to shave with a straight the days I do not go to the gym. I will plan on picking 4 straights to use from my very modest collection and try to discern the differences between them. 2) I would like to spend some time using various Schick razors on the days I am at the gym. I picked these up the past week or two, and I have forgotten how great they are. I have a few I haven't used very much, if at all, so it is time to get to know them well.
I was busy at work and didn't get a chance to save your finger. Yep, just squeeze the top to open the holder and slide the blade in. Do NOT, however, allow yourself to tap the blade to seat it and slide your finger. Yeah, it's the sharp part.
But who better to lead the end of Western Civ than a Russophile sitting on top of a mountain of Russian blades?
Sure enough that is what I did... talk about sharp I barely touched the damn thing and it bled like a stuck pig.
