Found a mostly used up tube of Proraso Green Cream back in a drawer and put a dab of it on top of the Spearmint soap. Gave it an extra menthol kick and had a great scent to it. Two passes with just a bit of touch up for a very smooth BBS shave.

A new blade, especially a good one always makes the difference. I have nothing against the Wilkinsons, but it's because my beard is very tough that I need a blade that'll last and that'll perform smoothly for me. The Rapiras always give me very smooth action with lots of comfort and they never seem to tug even on day seven. The Glacial Obsidian soap's lather felt almost painfully-cold as soon as I started working it into my stubble, especially during my second and third passes (in a wonderful way, naturally!) but as always the moisturizing and soothing were there for me. The matching balm delivered a heavenly, icy, relaxing feeling and the Arctique aftershave added another killer-cold punch. I don't think I could have gotten any smoother than this even from a straight razor!
