Its even more of a shame that we can't find Palmolive shave sticks on local shelves for under a buck this side of the pond. Yea unfortunately the SLS ingredient irritates my skin and makes VDH totally unusable for me.
Have never mixed soaps but doing the Überlather tango is a favorite of mine.. I soon realized the living in the Boonies and having Chip-a-Tooth hard water from the well, was going to make lathering a bit more of a challenge.. After experimenting quite a bit I have things that work well and things that work great, other things have been given away or sit at my Sister's place in Loveland where they work just fine when I visit Lather making is a personal experience I mix them up how I want....
The left side - aka the land of Williams and VDH. I'd love to be able to find the European drug store soaps & creams over here locally.
And they would love to have VDH and Williams I'm sure. How does it go, the grass is allways greener? I havent used Williams in a while, I have a couple under the sink, I think I'll break one out tom. am Wow, that sucks. Can you use Williams?
Just wondering, Williams is a good performer (good easy lather, cheap, easy to get) Not a fan like I am the good stuff(VDH) doesnt feel as "soft" to me as VDH, but it works like its supposed to.Smell could be less like lemon pledge, but allways lathers.
I dont think I like the idea of mixing soaps anymore =P but i stil might try it. I'll tell you how it goes =)
This got me thinking( sometimes a bad idea but not this time ) of mixing VDH deluxe and VDH glycerin. This in now my everyday soap and I call it VDH Royal!
What does @Cool Breeze think about this mix? That was actually my thought. Mixing a soap with colonel Cruz it has glycerin
