This year, I decided to make a brush for myself that has a Halloween Birthday theme. First pic, marking off the approximate places to shape the handle........ Second pic after the rough shaping with my Wen rotary tool........ Third pic after hand sanding the final shape........ Fourth pic after it being primed, black coat for one of the colors and the hole opened up for the knot. I was still deciding how to put the orange paint on it........ Fifth pic after adding the orange and just keeping it a simple color scheme. Also the decals I decided on are the Headless Horseman from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", one of my favorite stories. Snoopy has been my all time favorite cartoon character. And had to have a Batman symbol somehow added to the handle. The total height is 5.25 inches with a loft of 52mm from the top of the handle........ Edit: the Headless Horseman decals, which are shown, were replaced with the ones on the handle. I needed more orange in it........ The next three pics showing the brush from different angles and the Maggard Black & White knot installed. First, with the Headless Horseman, after some manipulation on Gimp to add some color to it as it was originally a black & white pic........ Second, the Snoopy side........ And third, the Batman symbol on the bottom........
Thank you. I wasn't sure how this one would come out as I needed a good amount of space for the decals. I actually amazed myself........
