My used blade jar was full and I thought I would go through what I have used over the past 2.5 years. Here is the rundown of what I have used. Gillette Silver Blue - 75 Perma-sharp Super - 67 Voskhod - 35 Rapira Swede - 22 7OC Indian Green - 20 Personna Lab - 18 7OC Indian Black - 14 Supermax Tiger - 11 ASR Personna - 8 Astra SP - 5 Gillette Spoiler - 5 Gem SE PTFE - 5 Shark SC - 4 Feather - 4 Polsilver - 3 Wilkinson Sword UK - 3 Merkur - 2 Silver Star - 2 7OC Yellow - 2 7OC Russian Green - 2 Super Iridium - 1 Schick SC - 1 Gillette Super Thin - 1 Shark SS - 1 The Gillette Silver Blues and Permasharp Super blades are my favorites. At one time I really liked the Voskhod, but haven't used them much at all in the last year or so. The Rapira Swede is a nice blade and I expect that I will be using them more in the future just because I picked them up dirt cheap. Other than that I thought it would be interesting to see what I have used. Yes I was really bored and will not be doing this again.
Safer yes, but easier, not so much. When I open a new blade, the old one goes in the blade can, new one in the razor and the wrapper in the bin. Having that clutter around would drive me nuts.
did you use what you had on hand? or did you have a supply of all of those. I guess what I'm asking, are those results a true representation of your favorites?
Some of both. I would buy a couple tucks of various blades when placing an order to see if I liked them. If I did and could find a reasonable price, then I would buy in bulk. If not, then I would use up or PIF what I had on hand. I am fortunate that I am able to get a good shave from most blades and razors. It is more of a preference thing where I like some aspect of the blade (face feel, price, shave longevity, etc). Realistically, I would be happy with Gillette Silver Blues and Permasharp Super blades. I thought that about the Voskhod blades in the past but grew tired of them. A little variety and then returning to my favorites helps keep me from burning out on a particular blade.

No. I don't remember using them. Besides the Supermax Super Plat Tiger, I know that I have used a few of the Supermax Sunrise, but it was a while ago.
