Folks, I received a request from a friend here to list some of my menthol stuff, and to rank them in the freeze levels. Well, let me say that I have a lot, and I mean a HELL of a LOT of items, and it will take some time to list everything, but I will do my best. I will start with my creams, and I will put the coldest ones in first, and gradually work my way down to the ones with less menthol. Once that's done, I'll list my menthol soaps, aftershave balsams, and aftershave splashes.

    Here we go:

    The creams:

    Freeze level A:

    Lord Emofresh
    Ice Cool
    Kool Frosty
    Kool Monsoon

    Freeze Level C:

    Tet-a-tet
    Top Ten Menthol
    Everest
    Bulgarian Viking Sensitive
    Pascale Menthol
    Nord-ost
    Karo Fresh
    Solo Menthol
    Tibet Forest Fresh
Cerrus (a cheap German cream, now discontinued)

This is an excellent resource! I know of no one else with as extensive experience with creams as you have.

This is a cool post. I love how mentholated stuff smells, but I feel like my skin is too sensitive since I broke out after using Proraso.

    Well done Jeff!

I have never used a menthol cream before. I am going to be trying the Ingrams as soon as the Ingrams PIF makes it's way to me. So far, the members that have tried it have enjoyed. Looking forward to my first freeze!

I do not see where you rank Top Ten Sensitive? It has menthol...

I knew I forgot something - I would rate it in Level B. It's quite cooling, but not extremely cooling. Thanks! :)

My friend, let me tell you something - first I thank you for your kind and nice compliment, but I know less than a lot of people think. It is only after being told about menthol stuff by other guys who knew them before I did that I learned about them. It took me a LONG time to build up this collection. A VERY long time. :)

I use VDH soap melt it in the mug with the micro wave and add menthol crystals to make my freeze the face soap, you can add more/less crystals to fine tune the freeze to your face..

Hey Ryan, was it old formula or new formula? I couldn't use the old formula for the same reason, but new is no problem. I find it only average in the performance area, but I love the scent, and it has just the perfect amount of menthol for daily use.

It was the old formula. I haven't tried the new formula or any other menthol creams, just Proraso.

You tried Pferdebalsam as an aftershave !!

It's perfect (even miraculous) after you've done an unusual muscular effort, but as an aftershave it is mere masochism...

Personnaly I hate all mentholated products as far as shaving is concerned... :o

I have menthol stuff which is colder than Pferdebalsam. Diana Sport Menthol Balsam, or Vifrex, or Visal for example. :)
