I finally got me a very minty Rocket. It is a flare tip. I am thinking it may even be the rhodium plated TV Special of 1958. Anyhow, it has been patiently awaiting its turn in line, and today was its day to shine. I put a Gillette Silver Blue in it. Without molesting the Williams, I lathered up and began what was the smoothest shave that I can remember. This Rocket is out of this world smooth. What a great shave! I did two passes and ended up with a BBS shave. Out of This World Smooth...
love the rockets.heavier than the us superspeeds.the # 20 flare tip rocket i have is one of the last small head ones, 1965, same head as the black handle ss razor and similar to the slim adjustable.definitely one of my go to razors. compared to my 56 b-1 superspeed, black handled m-4 superspeed(birthyear and quarter)this razor is by far my favorite.and i really like the other ones. my other early rockets#1,arist jr,rocket hd,and #22 aristocrat are top notch as well.enjoy
I have an American and a British Flare Tip Rocket and both are great razors. And with a Gillette Silver Blue, it simply can't be beat!
Well I got one as well and I must say ... WOW! Well constructed and shaves great. I'd say it's more efficient / aggressive than a American Flare, but not as a Red Tip, so perfect to me! Hey @Stu929 you should get one, you won't regret it.
Used my TV special for the first time yesterday and it blew me away! Excellent shave congrats on yours. I know we've discussed them before but it's a stunning razor
