My new Japanese suribachi bowl - for lathering.

    Thread bumped for better lather. I own three Old Spice mugs, but I don't use them for making lather. Suribachi bowls for the win!

    That is a great looking bowl. If I didn't already have my scuttle, I might have gone for something like this. The striated pattern looks nice and it seems like it would help a lot for lathering quickly.

    Resurrecting this old thread, just thought I would let old friends, and new friends as well, know that I still have this bowl and it's all I have ever used since buying it. And I still use the same badger hair brushes. The bowl has not damaged any of my brushes.

    I wish I could find a smaller suribachi bowl with a handle. But this one is still going strong.
