So it seems I have found my favorite shave gear and I'm going to stick with it for a while. I have found if I pair Feather blades with my Gillete New and Tech I get fantastic shaves. Sorry to the Feather haters and the TTO lovers. I have tried to shave over and over again with my Fatboy and Slim but I just can't match the shaves I get with a 3 peice razor. For me it just works perfect and I enter into shaving ZEN with no effort given.
That's great to hear that you've found your combo. It seems like everyone that tries the New and the Tech rave about them. I have both and find them to be nothing short of amazing! I think if razor technology stopped with the New, we would still be satisfied today.
You aren't here to impress anyone but YOU! Glad you found what works best for you. Those adjustable TTO's ought to make some great trade goods.
No reason to apologize. Ultimately, the goal of this journey is to find the hardware and software that suits you the best. We throw around "YMMV" a lot, but it is one of the truths of Wet Shaving. Congrats on finding what works best for you.
I just got a replacement in the mail which I'm trying out today, but keep the Clix EZ Flo in mind, as well as the Silver Star. Both are great and can often be snagged for peanuts.
All of my "best" shavers are three piece. I am not much of a TTO fan either. I have a few for fun, or because I was always trying to find the one that was perfect for me, but I always seemed underwhelmed. Glad you found the tools for your face. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I love these threads. I also love the thread a year from now to where you try some of your set aside gear and your skill has improved that your overall shaving is significantly improved; this has happened to me at least two times that I can recall. I'm glad you found your Goldilocks setup for the time being
