I was wanting to see if everyone wanted to tell us about their rotation. Mine is as follows: 1904 double ring 1916 single ring 1960 fatboy 1970 gold long handle adjustable 1967 slim Merkur 37c slant 1970 short handle adjustable The old guys are my favorites.
I no longer have a set rotation, just whatever catches my attention. I don't change razors until I kill a blade, so that's about five razor changes a year.
I hang out with the 30-Day Rule/Focus crew. So, I typically use the same razor for a month or more before switching. Click on the link in my sig, and you'll see the razors that I use. I'll change DE blades about every 3 days. They're cheap, and I like to always have a sharp blade in my razor.
I have been focusing on types for a month. SE, injectors, open combs, and this month adjustables. I have so many razors, and I am trying to be fair to them all. I probably need to sell, trade, or pif some of them.
I usually base my choice depending on what I read in these forums. I have over 50, so a “rotation” for me would be insane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have no set rotation any more. However, I do one week with a DE, The next week with an SE and the third week with an injector. Then I start the cycle again. I use my straight razors for my Saturday and Sunday shaves.
My rotation changes up every 6 months or so. Have quite a few razors on the farm team, awaiting a call up to the majors. The current lineup: Edwin Jagger DE89 Merkur 34C Gem MMOC Gem Clog Pruf Schick Hydro Magic Type I Schick Type G Not always in that specific order and some not getting used in certain weeks, but a combination of the above is my rotation.
No set rotation but I often try comparisons of some real or imagined similarities. Last moth was almost all open comb razors. This month I hope to do two series; one several AC format razors with several AC type blades and one some direct modern versus experience GEM type razors. Also hope to get in a few more shaves with the Durham Duplex.
I do a two razor shave(first pass with a Maggard slant head, finish with a Stahly Live Blade head)). Although I have many razors in my collection, I don't typically rotate other than to try a different razor brand or shave head type. My shaves while not very varied are very comfortable and the results are very consistent. Which is what I like.
On the 8th day I pick a razor from my collection for a guest appearance. So I get to use 3 other razors monthly. 54 Super Speed HD500 55 Red Tip NEW SC 1908 Single Ring Brit Blue Tip Rocket 41 Ranger Tech

Monday through Friday, rotate through 31 DEs, different one every day. Saturday, rotate through 8 str8s, different one every day. Sunday, rotate through 9 SEs, different one every day. I'm pretty hard core about the rotation, never using the same razor again until it comes back around. The only exception is when I go on vacation - I take two DEs.
With only three vintage razors, it's not a rotation issue for them. So while I shave, I stand on one foot and spin. (Always counter clockwise, cuz that's just how I roll).
