Hi all. Hoping to get guidance/advice. No matter what I do I always have the appearance of stubble. I have dark hair and light skin and even when my face feels completely smooth when rubbing against the grain, I still look poorly shaven and messy. Am I doomed to look sloppy my whole life? Thanks, Homer Flintstone
Laser hair removal? These people have very risque billboards all over town. https://www.idealimage.com/lakeland-winterhaven/
I dont have or know of a cure for blue face, a beard maybe? I think as long as your smooth and comfy, you've done what you can.
As stingraysrock mentioned, your only option at this point is laser hair removal. I have the same problem and I've sort of just accepted it. It's genetics. This is pretty much me after shaving:
I have the same skin and hair combo. I just go by how my face feels. It certainly looks better than if I didn't shave.
I'm very olive-skinned with a tough, dark beard. Unless I do a three-pass or more shave I also look like I still have a shadow. I still feel very smooth after I'm finished shaving but it takes me more than two passes to get rid of that shadow.
I second the above. At 0645 I'm as smooth as I can make myself. At 1500 I could probably go again if I wanted to. You can't fight DNA no matter how sharp the steel!
By the end of winter, when I haven't seen the sun in six months, my skin looks like the belly of a whitefish. I can be shaved as smooth as glass, and still see stubble under the skin. I don't lose any sleep over it. In a few hours I just need another shave anyway.
A light tan talc, like men used to use post-shave, might help. I have some but would never use it on my own face the way they did, but then I don't need to (not heavily bearded). Plus it wouldn't last long.
Does the "Won't come off with ordinary washing" refer to the tan or the scent? Welcome to TSD @Flintstone!
