Anyone here ever seen or had any experience with these? I tried emailing them at the contact address but it doesn't send. Just curious, they look nice and inexpensive I think. But I'm not sure how pounds convert to dollars.
Yeah it's run by Peter over on TSR. Peter is great to deal with and his brushes are excellent. I have tubby 1 in two band which is my everyday go to brush. Right amount of back bone but still lovely and soft.
Just received a reply from Peter. I'd get badger #2 from the Dog but I'm looking for a fan shape for this one. I'll go back to Larry for brush #3, I want one of those firehouse handle jobs.
I'm currently engaged in clandestine correspondence with Peter about the 1901 AND the Tubby #2, and I have a couple more lashed puppies on my list too. this is like being a heroine addict and trying to hide it from your family while actively looking for your next score for the20 minutes of heaven you get from it. I've got secret orders on the way now from the Italian Barber and here as well.....if I just keep moving money around and distract her when she's bill paying online....
one of my first brushes was bought from peter at new forest and although i much prefer a broken down old boar these days, every so often i'll bring the rat out to scrub my face. very nice brushes
Ordered a 2204 on Friday p.m. Arrived Saturday a.m. Might take a leetle bit longer across the pond. Sabbath is my face's day of rest so I'll give the new brush a bash tomorrow and post how I get on with it. No nasty smell btw.
I take it you're in Jolly Ol' England? or somewhere in Great Britain? I'm praying he doesn't run out of the Tubby #2 before I can get one. I'd snap up that fan shaped 1901 if 'twere bigger.
Yes, I'm in the county of Suffolk about 60 miles from London. I'll be surprised if the 2204 is my only purchase from New Forest. Really good quality for the price.
Used the 2204 for the first time this morning: wow! Can hardly believe the difference; lather was coming up my wrist after a few swirls. Used Bluebeard's Revenge shaving soap, will try it with Proraso tomorrow.
Peter is a great guy, as is Larry at Whipped Dog and everyone here at the Den and the Den Shop. I mean, everyone who's into wet shaving are just plain great people I'm finding.
