I have a very simple setup right now. I have a cheap Ichabod Conk razor and cheap soap from my local grocery store. I really like the Gillette 7 O'clock blades but i really would like to have some of the nicer stuff!

Nothing wrong with simple. I'm a fan of Gillette DE's and Schick SE's. Never paid more than $20 for a vintage razor, but I shop antique/ thrift stores and flea markets. It's unfortunate that men's shaving soaps aren't more readily available. There are bargains available there, too. Down side to internet shopping - can't sniff the scents! I'm fortunate to live near a number of Ladies Beauty Supply shops that carry Pinaud aftershaves. Another vintage item to consider - Avon in all those odd bottles. If you're handy with wood working, we have several members that are, carving brush handles only takes time. New brush knots can be purchased and installed on the cheap versus buying ready to go units.
Some of my favorite gear was found "in the wild"! So keep your eyes open.

I go to antique stores with my wife a lot on the weekends and have thought about picking up some of the razors i have seen. I plan to broaden my horizons some since the wife made me shave my beard. She likes the clean shave a lot better though!

Just General education on the art of shaving. What's good what's not so good and such. I belong to a couple forums and I find that there is usually a wealth of knowledge on these things.

I belong to a few forums as well. The shave den is easily the most knowledgeable group. If you have have a question, please feel free.

What is your shave setup (razor, blades, soap, Aftershave, etc)?
