New here; but been wet shaving for over 35 years. Enjoy vintage Gillettes and re-knotting brushes. My shave soap of choice is Stirling. After shave I enjoy Clubman, Florida Water, and vintage Avon. My goto razors are SS Flare and a 58 Fatboy. I avoid Zamak like the plague, but that said can appreciate razors that are made of it (just don't want to own them, my way of boycotting). I'm cheap, so that means I'll probably never buy a brush or a razor over $99. Good meet you all!
Welcome aboard! I like your love of brass razors and that means largely vintage!! You have two great razors already and hey, no need to spend the big bucks if you don't wanna! You can get fantastic shaves without breaking the bank. You might check out @Bama Samurai in the 30 Day Thread for February. The link is in my signature. He's focusing on low cost options for the month. He's a fan of Barbasol as one option but you can also find Van Der Hagen soaps very low cost and they provide great lather. There are other options as well, as I'm sure you know.
Welcome @Enrico! Except for the"been doing it for 35 years" part you have many sisters & brothers from different mothers here at TSD. Can't wait for you to post some photos of the gear!
Welcome. Nothing wrong with cheap. My limit is well under $50. It is great to be out of debt. Sent via mobile - Chris
