Heya All, I've been lurking around here for a few months and reading threads, found a lot of good information that helped me grab my first set of wet shave kit - was a great present getting home for Christmas leave and being able to spend some quality time with my new 38C. Unfortunately I seem to have caught the bloody bug and have a shopping cart full of more blade samplers and soaps that should be here before I head back to base. Thinking of picking up a new EJ razor as well since people seem to be in love with them. Thanks to everyone for having a wealth of information
Hi and welcome to the shave den, I just shaved with my EJ89L fantastic every time, hope you enjoy your time here
Hi! Welcome to the Den. Thanks for serving! What branch of service? Lots of us military types here. I did 20 years as an avionics technician with the US Air Force. Retired back in 2000. Man, I'm gettin' old.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone I'm currently a SigOp with the Canadian Forces though I'm still another 23 years at least from retirement
Welcome to the Den. We know you'll fit right in. So grab yourself a comfy chair, and give our threads a spin! Burma Shave

Pshaw....Steve you're STILL a YOUNG'UN.... I saw Hank Jones last year on tour, in concert at 91 playing more piano than I could ever hope to play.....course I'm a trumpet player....but you get my point.... Clark Terry the baddest trumpet player alive just had his 91st this Dec. 14th... Yo 'neolithium', make yourself at home, It's alot of fun around here, and the folks around here really love to help us get great shaves....I'm getting the best shaves of my life and having a ball doing it... And thanks to all the Military types here at the Den....We sincerly appreciate your service....Yo Steve, my brother is retired Air Force aswell. I used to visit him on my summer vacations growing up...Got to see some of the world that way....
I'm in Kingston for the next couple of months and then from what the CoC has told me I should be heading to Edmonton for the early spring (Thankfully missing the Ex coming up for the NWT/Nunavut - I've had enough Arctic Warfare and flaming tents). You'd be surprised at the number of guys on course who were wondering how I had time for wet shaving, or managed to finish before they were done with their 75 blade contraptions that theoretically only needed 1 pass Definitely one of the friendliest and most informative forums I've been on!
Welcome aboard Neolithium! After reading so many positive posts from this forum about the EJ DE89L, I just had to purchase it! As, alpha444 stated "its a fantastic shave everytime!" Enjoy TSD and stay safe!
