I read about this a month or two ago but when I saw the price tag, I knew it wasn't for me. It definitely makes for a nice bit of eye candy though.
Elsewhere, it was mentioned that it should retail for about $230. Supposedly that's a great deal for a machined stainless steel razor and I'm sure that these will still sell like hot cakes.
It is nice looking, but at 131 gr it is heavier than I prefer. And north of $200 is well beyond my price range these days.
You might be right. Now I'm seeing 275 Euros mentioned in other threads. Interestingly, it is a three piece design. A lot of modern adjustables are employing completely different designs, and I wonder if it's to avoid copyright issues. Rockwell will use the TTO design, but I think Parker's forthcoming model is a two piece razor and the Futur of course has the pop-off cap. I asked Brian of Charcoal Goods if he would ever consider making an adjustable, and he said that it would be tough due to copyright problems. However, I think that he also mentioned that Turkey doesn't necessarily face the same restrictions, but in any case, their design is clearly different from the vintage razors, as well as the modern ones.
It sure is something to look at. At that price tag though, I can pretty much guarantee I won't be trying it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Heard from a friend that a SS adjustable razor ha been around for a while now and being sold in the NYC area for less $75.00 from a small company. Also a custom motorcycle company has been making and selling SS adjustable razors on a custom basis only. Think the guy goes by the name of ChopMeat.
I will try, as he constantly goes to NYC for business purposes. I think it's mentioned on a NYC shave forum, can't remember the name at the moment, something that you just can't join.
