This is my new Bethlehem Olivewood handle with one of Larry's (Whipped Dog) synthetic knots. It is 24mmx58mm.
Great looking Brush & Handle......did you send the handle to Larry @ WD or did you buy the brush off e-Bay?
Thanks. I just ordered a Silver Tip Badger 30/65 from Larry yesterday. I should have it by the end of the week or beginning of next week. When I get it I will take a photo of it and post the picture. If I can figure out how to use the digital camera. (I would rather use my 35mm Ricoh xr7)
1st shave with the WD Synthetic Brush. I decided to go with the La Toja cream. It was a great combination! The WD Synthetic face lathered like a champ. I just loaded the brush for about 5 seconds and had enough cream for a great 3-pass shave!
Beautiful brush, Bob! I love items made from Olive wood. I have a number of pieces crafted from the wood collected from trips taken to Israel over the years. Some incredible, distinct grain patterns to the wood. Seeing your brush has stirred up my BAS—"brush acquisition sickness…syndrome."
I wanted to try the brush using a puck today, so I pulled out the Tabac. After 3 shakes and loading on the puck for about 30-40 seconds, it gave up plenty of lather for a nice 3-pass shave. The tips are very soft and do a great job both swirling and painting.
Today, I tried the brush on the LA Shaving Soap in the jar. I just loaded it for about 30 seconds and started face lathering. It generated more than enough lather for a 3-pass shave. Tomorrow I will try it on a puck of Stirling.
Today, I tried the brush on Stirling Ozark Mountain. I just loaded it for about a minute and had enough loaded on the brush for a great 3-pass shave.
