Hey all. I'm Jerad. I'm from North of Dallas, TX. Father of 2 and husband of 1! I've been "wet shaving" my head for years in the shower, but sadly it was with cartridges until about 1 1/2 years ago. About that time I started using a brush and shave soap in addition to my already used Shave Secret and Cremo. I started using a VDH DE razor and blades and moved almost immediately to vintage Gillette TTO razors and better blades. I started with my late grandfather's Knack and found an affinity for 40s style SS build and weight. I now use primarily a pre-war Tech, either Astra SP, Shark SS or a Feather. Still use Shave Secret as a pre-shave and superlather Cremo into almost everything. I'm not your traditional wet shaver in that my face hasn't even been trimmed in over 5 years at all. But I shave my entire head at least every other day, more often than not, daily. I've been on "another" forum for about a year now.
Welcome! I am from North Dallas, so we are neighbors. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Howdy! We are kind of neighbors, I'm in Fate. Welcome to the Den! Sent from my LGUS997 using Tapatalk
Welcome Jerad @jbo667! Glad you jumped in. It's always great when a new guy arrives with some stuff figured out. But don't be shy - ask question and please do share your experience. I've made many Superlathers by adding Cremo to other soaps because for me it's good stuff. Have you tried the Cooling, or any of the other scents? As to shaving with a cart - no worries. Many New Shavers are coming from Cart World. I'd encourage folks to keep the previous well know tools for clean up while you are learning new razors.
