Ok, i bought a new really nice Adidas backpack for uni. The probkem is that I always wear Nike shoes. Do you think it's ok to mix brands like that? The colorway is similar (they do match), the problem is that they are different brands. What do you think? Would mixing two rival brands in clothing look ridiculous, even if it's shoes and a school bag?
It will only look silly if you wear Nike on one foot and Adidas on the other. Come on, dude. Wear what you want.
When my Grandpa died, Grandma turned me loose in his closet. I came out with a bunch of his old short sleeve work shirts, I mean they were old, lol. I worked around the farm in them just like he did. My buddies would laugh at me but I didn't care. I was honored to wear them. Wear what you want!
Doesn't bother me. I mean I won't wear them on purpose, but to go get the mail, or maybe even a run to the hardware store. I'm not changing my socks just to leave the house, and bending over to tie shoes is a lot of effort.
I've worn New Balance sneakers, Nike socks, Adidas hat and Starter shorts at the same time, who cares......
I wear Levis jeans with a Carhartt shirt ... the fashion police haven't caught me yet. In my house none of my coffee mugs match .. on purpose!
Too much of one brand makes you look like a walking billboard or that you have a corporate sponsor of some kind. So in other words, mix and match all you want.
Plus, wearing too much of one brand after a certain age makes your look like your wife picked an outfit out for you. Under a certain age, it looks like Mommy got all the garanimal tags to match.
