In the movie North by Northwest, Cary Grant's character Roger O. Thornhill has been given a small razor by the female lead character and he is all lathered up and thusly disguised from the police detectives searching for him in a train station. He proceeds to shave, comically, and ad lib I'm sure, with this miniscule razor. It appears to be a DE. So the question is: What razor is this? It seems to be too small to use standard DE blades. No doubt it is a women's razor. Anybody know or can hazard a guess what it might be?
So Jayaruh, can you let us know the brand, model, intended customer/usage, and any history of the razor you picture? Thanks.
Hi all, it could have been one of these as well- https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/112713474161 I gave one to my spouse a few years ago. She thought it was quite cute! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nope, Mormon Bridge, that doesn't look like it at all. Google Laurel Ladies Boudoir Razors. Several are now on Etsy. Apparently they are not all that uncommon. You'll find the history, too. They do match the picture and the size.
Yes - I have one of those, but in brass. it's a Laurel. Mine was a 'I just want it' purchase - it's in a tiny brass case that looks like a short lipstick case.
