Hi, all! Firstly, I must say that I don't have the original Merkur Futur so I can't compare it. But I'll try to describe it. I bought this safety razor online from aliexpress.com but I'm aware that it's also sold on ebay.com. The razor has 3 color options; golden/black and matte black. The listing has golden color razor but if you pm the seller they send the color as you wish. This safety razor has a perfect matte finishing. It doesn't fade or discolor. I dropped it to the wash basin once but there is no coating loss, just a tiny bruise which can barely seen on it. This DE razor is adjustable and has 6 settings and I must admit it's aggressive. I always set it at 1. The cutting noise is impressive, the noisiest razor I've ever heard! You can hear each hair going down. It's indeed a noisy DE razor. You can imagine how aggressive it is The razor is made of high quality materials, you can feel the quality when you hold it. I shared the photos of the razor on monthly haul and just wanted to show you this Chinese beauty here.

Well, I always use my fat boy/slim and super adjustable on 7, but I couldn't set it above 2 and always use on 1 on this clone razor. It's an efficient razor, gives CCS generally and BBS rarely. I had BBS results at the cheek area but couldn't achieve BBS result on the neck are ever.
