I've wondered about differences in shaving experience between OC vs SB for a while. 50/50 shaves never appealed for testing hardware or software, until I joined a grudge match a few months ago. It really helps in showing the differences quite objectively. So, I am planning to do a 3 day grudge match with near identical razors, difference being OC, CC or SB. Anyone interested? My candidates are: - MMOC vs MMCP - Gillette RFB vs Hybrid - Gillette Tech FB vs NEW - these are comparable (I think) English versions. Let me know what you think.
The Micromatic matchup is going to be a bit skewed, since the open comb varient is more aggressive than the later model closed comb. The "hybrid" can refer to several different types of Gillette. I've usually heard it in reference to Gillette NEW bottom plates that were cut with tech style lather holes rather than the open comb teeth. In your context, it must refer to an open comb, since you have it paired up with a Brit raised flat bottom tech. I wish you were using less aggressive open comb razors in your test, or more aggressive closed comb razors. Either way, looking forward to reading your results.

So @PLANofMAN was right, MMOC and MMCP are not comparable. Only thing is I recalled getting the impression the CP felt a bit more aggressive (I've only shaved a hand full of times with this razor) so I pulled them out. CP-OC What do you guys think?
