Anniversary SOTD OCtober 17th Leresche #34 Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless (4) Anchorset IB Amici soap and AS Eight years ago today my bride and I said "I do". Wanting to stay smooth all day long I decided to make it a morning shave today. The Leresche was smooth and efficient, a very nice pairing with the 7 O'C SS. Next shave I will compare it with a Old Type Single Ring to see which is more aggressive. The Leresche was plenty efficient to pull off a two pass BBS with minor touch up. Have a great day my friends!
Even if the blade does not out last the un-stropped blade I will strop all CS blades for the Valet from this point forward.
Please decant the Veg into glass before you judge. Veg goes very well with sandalwood and Citronella scents. I have faith.
OCtober Focus on track Tabac Original & cool water B-400 Omega 98 boar knot Fatip Piccolo, Personna LB Alum, Three Leathers AS For the thrifty minded shaver - get yourself a tub of Tabac. I'm glad I enjoy the scent because this stuff last forever! Loaded one of my best boar brushes, worked the lather in a bowl, and enjoyed the slick glide and residual slickness. I used to be wary of the Fatip's biteyness. Familiarity through Focus has tamed the beast. Three passes & chin buffing now nets DFS with no errors. Aggressive geometry? Maybe but ride the cap and it's all good. Alum was cool, and very little sting from the alcohol in the blended AS. Good Shaves Y'all!
Tabac is an amazing soap, superb performance, lasts forever, smells good (IMO) . I think it is as good as if not better then any soap I own.
October 17 Gillette Super Speed Red Tip (A3) Feather (2) JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot Castle Forbes Lavender shave cream Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Fine Platinum Aftershave I used the same set up and yesterday and enjoyed a nice, easy, and close two-pass shave. We're enjoying some beautiful sunshine and cooler temps here in my neck of the woods today. Have a blessed day!
It's like you Focused on your shave and you got good results? Someone should start a discussion about this. We could make it a Thing!
I absolutely love Tabac. It stays out on the counter so it's always in easy reach. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Thanks for the kind words, Andrew. It was fun working with Jim to create this one. You should consider adding a Jayaruh brush to your Den. I bet he'd be glad to work with you on a very cool design. (Yep, I just did my daily enabling bit.) I hope you're having a great day!
Me too! I'm sure @PickledNorthern will be along shortly to make fun of us. He's a Yankee, though, and will soon be up to his shoulders in snow...so we'll have the last laugh!
