Great minds think alike with the CO Bigelow! Looks like a great shave; the red tip is a fantastic razor.

Beautiful photo, Jason. The NEW LC is my favorite of all vintage razors! I bet it pairs nicely with the Polsilver blade. May have to try that for myself soon...

Thanks, Charlie. Yes, the NEW LC is one of my favourites as well. I'd like to find a NEW SC in the wild too.

Not too shabby, yourself! Nice girth on both the razor and brush handle ;)
(We're all friends here. Is it weird to comment on another guys thickness of equipment?)

    Razor: English Flat Bottom New
    Blade: Derby Extra (2)
    Brush: 30DC LE/Pure Badger
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Second shave with the Derby Extra and the Flat Bottom New. Two passes to another DFS, but with definite noise from the Alum.

Had I the skin and beard of a young Turk, perhaps I would enjoy these examples of artisanal ironmongery more. As it is, this aged computer geek of dubious German and Irish heritage really just doesn't like them. On to something else tomorrow...

Great picture Perry. How did the band do in the competition?

Love the brush. It really pops against the white background.

Great lineup Charlie. Have fun with you lessons and volunteer work.

Great photo and lineup Jason. I am seeing a lot of positive comments on the performance of Sudsy Soapery.

The kids did a great job! All Superior ratings (the highest award) for each category. We didn't win any of the special awards (first, second, or third place, etc) but I was relieved to have earned the all Superior level. That was a tough contest! They got to play in a college stadium at Jacksonville State - brightest stadium lights I've ever seen. Really incredible atmosphere. I'm proud of them because I know they were nervous. Hard work pays off in the end.

    Thanks for asking!

Fantastic results Perry. I know you are very proud of the kids. They were able to show that all the hard work produced results.

For the first time with it, I was very impressed with the lather. Thick and slick and tonnes produced for a light 20 second load. I have to spend a little more time with this particular scent to see if it grows on me, though.

    Thank you, Charlie!
Thanks for the insight, Jared! I was able to get a super goop lather out of some Cella this weekend. I will definitely be shooting the for unicorn lather with each of my soaps.
Very nice photo, Clint. What do you do with all of your empty soap tubs ?
Cool photo with a cool razor, Jim!
Great shot of the E2, Perry!
    Awesome setup, Brian!
    Lovely Red Tip, Charlie!

Jason, the wood in the brush is a great match for table top! Outstanding photo!

I'm in a position now to wonder if I should toss out my Local Gent Shaving Co. Fields&Streams. It's getting quite near the bottom, but there's still a bit left. What made me wonder about it is it may be losing its strength-got a cut around my lip, which doesn't usually happen. I'll definitely get another Local Gent fragrance someday-they haven't heard the last of me yet :).

I was really blown away by the Cella. Amazing thick, slick, creamy, Super Goop lather that can hold its own with the artisans. Smells amazing also, with a nice scent strength. Such a great performer and scent that I'm going to have to add a tub of this classic to my den. I had thought that with so many quality artisan soap makers out there that Cella would be hard pressed to convince me that it was worth it. Boy was I wrong.
