    Hey all,

I will be receiving a 1980's vintage Old Spice Shulton Lime Aftershave from an Ebay buy yesterday. Now I need to find the perfect matching soap for it.

    Should I order this one?:

Super cheap. Ships from India. The ingredients don't match the old Shulton Old Spice soap puck and seem more vegetal with zero tallow (which is actually preferable for me since tallow can cause skin breakouts for me). I'm just curious if this formula gives a quality shave and if the scent will match up well.

I've never used the Old Spice Lime before, is it supposed to be a pure lime or Old Spice with a hint of lime?

Any lime base soap should match the aftershave nicely.

The old spice lime cream you linked to is okay. It has been awhile. I think the godrej lime smells better.

The stuff from India is junk. IMHO. Tell Kathleen I sent you. She also gives TSD members a discount.

The OS cream performs well in soft water. Not so well in hard water.

Lots of good limes out there but I'm not sure which would be the closest match to the OS A/S you're getting.

If you can find an old tub of Cold River Soap Works Limenthol, it is great soap.

I'm tempted to try the Indian Old Spice lime mainly because it's so cheap. Has anyone been able to match a soap scent to the 80's Shulton LIME OS aftershave? I think the best shot I have is with the Indian OS to match the scent, but it would be nice if someone can confirm that or not.

I like to use mine with Route 66 Sweeney Todd.

Is Todd Sweeny leaning into a bit of lime scent? The description seems to indicate citrus, but more of a blood orange bent. I will look into that soap regardless.

Yes, it is more of an orange than lime. It's a very nice scent.

I would consider a super lather with the Indian Lime Cream and a puck of the vintage Old Spice Tallow.
