Similar to when they relegated their Syntex fiber to the "value" range when they came out with the artificial badger, now that they have the Hi Brush, this is their value range. With the price of a completed brush at 3 or 4 euros means that it is a very low level (perhaps at best a Generation 2) fiber.
That is why I am slowly leaving the process of keeping track of synthetics. Now every company is going to the fiber manufacturers that supply the cosmetic brush industry and a whole lot of different and cheap fibers are coming out, along with some better more expensive ones. Too many players and too many choices now. Not a bad thing entirely, but you have to be careful when buying as well.
