For those who have read about, and wondered about, how they might like Pinaud Lilac Vegital(The Veg), now is your chance to try it, for free.

Background: First, gwsmallwood gave swarden43 a bottle, to see if he was to be among the "Chosen". Then the bottle was passed, to me, to see if I was one of the lucky few. From what I have read, to be "Chosen" requires the correct body chemistry, and olfactory senses.
I received the bottle in the mail, yesterday, and it looked full. The wife and 9 yr old daughter gave it a sniff, out of the bottle. They both thought it was very floral scented, as did I. I prepared myself for the experience, by cleaning my face well. I applied a normal amount, to my face and neck, and let it air out for several minutes.
The wife said she thought it was floral, but didn't like it on me. My daughter said I need to give it to "Mom".
My take on it was that it was very strong and floral smelling, that did not agree with me.
Conclusion: I'm not among the "Chosen".

Nice to see the bottle has developed a life of its own. While not chosen, I have to say @DaltonGang and @swarden43 both had very good experiences with The Veg, all things considered. While my wife and I both got the floral aspect, my wife would say it smelled like someone threw a bouquet into a porta-potty. I was optimistic, as I have been enjoying the Lilac Witch Hazel I've been using.

I still stand by the belief that everyone who is into this hobby enough to be a member of a forum should be required to try The Veg within the first year. It's an integral part of the adventure.

 

Lilac veg is a great scent . I like the Fleur de France better. Great way to let people " try before they buy".

OP you say the vegetal scent is floral strong, then why I read somewhere some people saying that it smells like cat pee.....? I assume when you say it has floral scent strong as in aka strong scent of Flowers correct? if that's true makes me wonder why people say it smells like cat pee?........

Different scent on different people. It has a lot to do with body chemistry. It smells different when it's on you, than straight out of the bottle.
But, if you believe the folklore, it produces a scent similar to your personality.

Two in, so far. We need about 20 more.

 

You guys know this is kinda like that scene from The Deer Hunter.

This and Arko should be on every wet shavers bucket list!

 

I'm not in but I encourage everyone to at least give it a shot. I actually like both the scent and the feel of the Veg but my wife hates it so I don't wear it. I never got a cat pee smell and my wife couldn't stand it long enough to figure out what she smelled. If this grows too big for just one bottle I'll donate my bottle as well.
