I saw that, it's probably a German clone of a Gillette OLD. I absolutely love that handle!!! I doubt the change purse belongs with it.
I'm sorry I can't help, other than to tell you that several companies made those travel razors. If it's not marked, your search is gonna be more difficult. Try searching the bay for vintage travel razor, then try matching the handle. Do you think the case? is original to the razor? I have not seen one cased like that. My grandmother always carried a change purse like that. Sorry again, I'm not much help
Love it!!! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-WW1-Military-Razor-Kit-not-American-RARE-w-leather-case-/123140415722?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20140107095009&meid=ab522aec772d402984f52afcce887497&pid=100040&rk=3&rkt=4&sd=123142857907&itm=123140415722&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=zzFcorTvGNt3R44KKYGktPGW8js%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Didn't sell, are you the owner? I've never seen a handle like that one, it's nicely made and solid brass. Most of those types of razors had handles that would nest with one part inside the other.
For shaving in the dark! There were aftermarket handles for razors with lightbulbs in them, I wonder how useful they really were.
Change purse is such a nice fit, I wonder if is original to the razor. Makes sense; slightly less bulky and a hair less heavy than even a small case.
From my research, the two piece handles were not introduced until the early 1930's. Any two piece handle might be pre-WWII, but will always be post WWI. Dating them is hard, since Merkur has continued to make them throughout the years. I have a German made "Apollo" branded version. They are usually well made and nice shavers.
