Do any of you use pomade? I been using it for a few years. It is like shave soap there are so many varieties, smells and holds. I have fun with it. My go to is Suavecito.
I have used them on and off for a few decades or so. Murray's and Royal Crown primarily. My new barbershop makes their own brand which is my go to as of late. http://www.westcottbarber.com/shoppe.html#!/Harrisons-Pomade/p/52414769/category=14192248
I never put anything on or in my hair. I came from the 60’s-70’s, when the phrase emerged “the wet head is dead”. Old habits and all that......
I use a variety of that type hair care product.Softee yellow -light hold ,light scent, once in a while my wifes Blue Magic which is a heavy texture with bergamot,Masters Bay Rum pomade -moderate texture, hold and nice scent(I mix in some of my home made Bay Rum to give it a bit more longevity),and my wife has taken up my habit of mixing up skin and hair care products to her own formulas. She has a couple of nice coconut and lanolin mixes scented with rose and orange blossom. The rose sticks around but the orange blossom smells great for about 5 minutes.
Pomades usually have a petroleum jelly or stiffer consistency some even have the paste consitency of plumbers putty. They have a variety of scents, consistencies and ingredients and colors. good luck
Anybody have any experience with the High Life brand pomade? Ive been using Murrays for some time now, but Id like to know if High Life Heavy holds as well as they say it does.
If you don't know then perhaps you should try some. Suavecito is not a gel not a grease it wash it out easily with water. It some really nice stuff. https://www.suavecito.com/
I use pomade a couple times a week, usually i use Layrite but sometimes I will break out the Murray’s. On non pomade days I use Lucky Tiger hair balm.
