This is one big brush. If your into the Omega Professionals and your hankering to try something different ? May I suggest Bestshave's Professional #1. The knot is a 29mm with a 68mm loft. What is so stunning about this brush is the Sheer softness with backbone that the horsehair offers. This brush is a little on the floppy side but not as much as an Omega pro. It produces plenty of Lather but does not hog it. I was able to do 3 passes on my face and 2 of my head with out having to reload. For a Turkish brush, the craftsmanship of the #1 is superb. It's a tight knot and has not shed a single hair during the break in. The handle is hand made and well varnished. It's a heavy quality brush that delivers. The cost of this brush is similar to the Omega pro. But the performance of the #1 make the Omega look inferior. Horsehair has 85% of the good qualities of Badger and 85% of the good qualities of boar. If you haven't tried horsehair, your missing out. This brush is a worthy addition to and well stocked shave den.
