I have used Proraso Blue a few times, so I think I can give it a fair review. Price: 8/10. The going rate is $9 plus shipping at most places. Regardless, it's still decent. Quality: 10/10. Proraso is a solid everyday performer and has high QC. Scent: 9/10. I've heard it described as a licorice scent. I don't sense that at all, which is good because I hate licorice. To me this cream has an aquatic scent. Very mild and pleasant. Latherability: 10/10. It's a lather monster like all the other Proraso creams. Efficacy: 9/10. It softens the stubble fantastically, stays slick, and has plenty of cushion. Moisturizing Properties: 10/10. This has aloe and vitamin E in it, so your skin will be well taken care of. Packaging: 10/10. It comes in a blue and white metal tube. Will I buy this again? Absolutely. Guys, I am terribly allergic to the Green. But the Blue works fantastically for me. It's my favorite Proraso. It has impressed me and kept me from writing off Proraso. Do yourself a favor and try this out.
Blue is an amazing product, I agree. You always hear about Green or Red, but I swear Blue and White are the silent champions of Proraso.
I'm with you Ryan. Green is a so-so performer - merely adequate. Blue is far better in shave quality and skin care. I was allergic to the old green formula, but the new formula has never given any problems... I wonder what it is that you react to?
Great review my friend. Seems to be a nice cream.Maybe i buy it in the future.Proraso Products are really wonderful.
It is one of my favorites too: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/proraso-blue-cream-wowwwwwww.31103/
Nice review. I stayed away from the blue because of the people who say it smells like licorice. I hate that smell too. Maybe I'll pick some up after all.
Nice review. I've only used the green before and its a decent cream for me but I've wanted to branch out and try the different versions they have, so I'll pick up a tube of this next time I put together an order.
It totally smells like anise. It's not sweet like licorice, but I think the anise really comes through. Love Blue. It's awesome.
Oh just a typical YMMV thing I'm sure. It's supposed to be for sensitive skin and has menthol in it and it's one of the few soaps that makes me break out. That and that I can never produce truly great lather. It has prevented me from trying any other Proraso products due to how terrible I find it to be.
