I was looking through the listings on E-Bay, I know that more often than not the listings are incorrect. I am curious about the ID of a razor in my collection. I assumed all this time I had a fat handled Tech, made in England. Numerous listings of the same razor are saying it is a Junior Aristocrat made in England. Which ID is correct?
fat handled tech... Junior Aristocrat? Maybe that is the rare non-adjustable fatboy edition. nope... fat handled tech
Looking through eBay listings (including completed) most of the use of the term junior aristocrat comes from the same seller and that vendor calls at least three different models a junior aristocrat. However, I have seen made in England razors in a box that was labeled Aristocrat junior. So such a thing did exist... Mr. Razor has some on his site. http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/One-Piece solid guard bar/1947 Arisicrat Junior cream Dispenser.JPG http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/On...ristcrat Junior Set No48 beschriftet Logo.jpg http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/One-Piece solid guard bar/1949 (U2) Aristocrat jr.JPG but that is still a fat handled tech
Thanks everyone I did not think my razor was anything else then a fat handled Tech. It is amazing the amount false iding that goes on the Bay.
Forgive me, gentlemen, but you're half-right. It's the ULTRA-ultra-rare helium-filled, gravity-defying Tech. Truly a superlight shaver. Just look at that first pic, it's floating up on the ceiling.
Hey thanks for the post. After reading this and following the link to Mr. Razors site, I realized that the Rocket that I got in the mail today is actually an Aristocrat Jr.
The razor in the OP's post is indeed a fat handle Tech. Having looked at your pics of it in The Haul thread, yours is a Rocket No. 51 set and not an Aristocrat Jr. No. 51 set. Notice the difference in the heads.
