    Hey folks,

I've got a Sheraton and would like to spiff it up a bit, but am not sure what to use. I don't want to damage the gold finish, as it is pretty well intact. Any help is appreciated.

    Someone suggested Happich Simichrome.
It's a polish that I have found in antique strores occasionally.

Rollshaver got a tube and I think he likes it. I have some too, but I haven't tried it on a gold finish razor yet

I wouldn't use any type of polish on a gold plated razor. Give it the Scrubbing Bubbles treatment -- it will look like a million $$$ afterward.

+1. Heat, solvents and polish can damage the protective lacquer overcoat and buffing can easily burn trough the thin gold plate.

A warm water soak and a light scrub with a toothbrush and dish soap is mild enough for gold and should take most soap scum off. Scrubbing Bubbles works great also.

I use flitz sword polish on my razors and swords it has done really well for me so far. But you have to be very careful on gold plating.
