I was issued a shaving kit when I joined the Royal Navy back in ‘62 and told to shave every day, whether I needed to or not. In the ensuing years I've used the early model brick sized electric shavers, plastic disposable razors, grew a beard, and then for the last 30 odd years used very expensive modern electric razors. I am now retired, and on a whim bought a modern beautiful looking de razor and all the ‘necessary’ extra bits and bobs that seem to go with modern shaving. Rapidly progressed through to the vintage de and se stage, and now the Rolls razor has caught my eye. At this rate I will have to get a job.
Welcome @ackers to TSD from the U.S. South Coast. Glad you found us and look forward to sharing all things wet shave related. Any particular gear that stands out for you? Photos always welcome.
Hello and welcome Don't get a job, live vicariously through the shave of the day thread. Then pick n' choose what you desire most. Lol
Thanks for the welcome, I forgot to say I am from a city called Leeds in the county of Yorkshire [God's county], England.
First of all, @ackers, thank you for your service. Next, welcome from another old vet in North Cackalacky. I too have transitioned from DE to SE to injectors to straights and now to wedge lather catchers. It is all fun.
to TSD @ackers I hope you enjoy it here. You'll find friendly people and ALOT of good shaving information. Thank you for your service.
