Used the cream for the first time today for a quick two pass face shave. Gear Used: Razor: RazoRock German 37 Slant Blade: Astra SP (About 5th Use) Cream: Palmolive Classic for Men AB: Stirling Unscented Glacial Slickness: I'd give it about a 8/10 Cushion: More on the side of 7/10 Post Shave: 5/10 Now this is my first initial impressions. Given the fact I've been using MWF mostly this entire month, I may be a little on the biased side. But all in all, for $3.50 with free shipping from Amazon, this was a great cream for the cost. It was a great shave, no irritation from the cream, it was quite comfortable. My only disappointment, mildly, was that the post shave wasn't quite up there for that "wow!" feeling. It did it's job for the shave and well. I would definitely recommend based on this first use for new starters into wet shaving or for veterans that haven't tried it, to give it a go.
Good review ... I personally don't like the scent, but the performance is good. And it is pretty cheap around here (typical supermarket cream).
Nicely done. You pretty much mirror my thoughts. You would definitely be a little biased comparing post shave to MWF, but it is a really nice cream for the price. I also enjoy the menthol version as well.
LOL! Yeah, definitely biased. I went back to MWF to get a better idea of the difference. Night and day. I think I may get the menthol version down the road just to try it. Palmolive is worth the investment in.
Took the Palmolive for another round on a head and face shave. I'm still sticking by my original review as it seemed to have the same qualities as my previous post. Still a good cream!
Nice review. I just finished up my first tube of Palmolive Classic for Men Shave Cream. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great 'bang for the buck' shave cream.
