Like many out there, my Semogue 2000's finish began to crack and peel not too long after getting it. So I got out some sandpaper and took it down to bare wood, stained it with Minwax Colonial Maple, put on four coats of Minwax Polyurethane semi-gloss, and ..........
Thanks guys. I was pleased with the outcome. Call me fickle, but although I like the lighter stain, I can't help but wonder how it would have looked with something a bit darker. hmmm.... guess I could always buy another 2000....:signs002

Appreciate the comments. I'm no Norm Abram by any means. Like I said, just some sandpaper to get it down to bare wood, stain, then poly. That easy.
