The TOBS Grapefruit Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my Schick I1 razor and a Personna SS Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I had an excellent shave today. BBS on two passes plus clean up. Palmolive Classic was my firat lather more than 50 years ago and it continues to please. It's easy lathering, cool slick and creamy with excellent cushioning. Ended today's shave with a good splash of Myrsol Aqua Balsamica.

Today's the last day of the Sept Focus.The Focus Threads have given me the opportunity to hone my technique with the Mongoose. The sharing of SOTDs with a good group of fellow members has been a wonderful learning experience. I look forward to the Oct 30 Day Focus.​

Had a very good shave this morning.
Went back to my Schick Paul Revere and it, once more, delivered a fantastic shave.
If I would fault the razor in any way it would be that I wish the handle was a tad more solid/heavy - apart from that it's near perfect.

I'll be finishing off the month's Schick injector focus with my Type F on Wednesday.

I could of easily stayed with my Schick I1 as it provides an extremely nice shave. As a matter of fact each of my Schick injector razors loaded with a Chinese schick blade performs well. If it's the one thing Ive learned from this months focus is how consistent the Chick blades are. With my DE razors a lot of them seem to perform better with certain blades and I have yet to find one that works across the board.

The Arko Stick Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #18 Best Badger brush. Two passes with my Schick M2 Adjustable Injector razor and a Personna SS Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Florida Water as an after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Had my first ever SE shave this morning,a Schick Hydromagic,using the original blades!....
I was rather surprised at the performance of the original HM Schick blade,seeing as it sat in a broken dispenser,in a case since 1955-58,that's like 60 years old!.To say that this razor/blade is audible is putting it very mildly!,it wasn't exactly smooth mind,and there was just a bit of tugging,not much seeing as it was cutting through about 4-5 days growth though.I could have gone for another pass,but I wanted to test out a Schick Krona!.
I will give the HM another go next shave time I think!.
