One of the businesses in the small town I live in knows I collect razors, and I have bought a handful from him. When I came home today, he had left this plate on my door. These were used in printing presses, typically for newspapers. My other hobby besides shave stuff is leatherwork. I actually use these plates as stamps as I make things. Here is a picture of the plate, and a quick impression I did into some leather. This will be kind of fun to use on shave related cases!
Very cool! Is it too big for a strop? Can't really tell how big it from the pic. Would make a cool collectors edition strop.
It would fit on a 3 inch wide strop, but the razor in the stamp doesn't require stropping. It would still be pretty neat.
