Since I am not sure where to put this oil in the reviews, I put it as I use it. All I can say is WOW! I use it as a pre-shave oil and it works great for me. Toward the end of the shower, apply 3-4 drops in you hands and thoroughly rub it into your whiskers. Boy oh Boy, does it soften the whiskers. Immediately before I apply my lather, I rinse my face with hot water (not to gunk up the blade, razor, or brush with oil). I have tried adding a few drops with a hot towel treatment as well. WOW, the fist two passes are so smooth. If you like pres-shave oils, try this. The scent smells great. It is bright and reviving with a hint of menthol and a gingerly smell. I am not sure about any healing properties, but it sure is protective. For $3 at Wal-Mart, it is definately worth trying, whether, you like pre-shave oils or not.

  2. This is nice

This product I believe has menthol and clove spice. I bought is from Wal-Mart too for a few buck and it works pretty well. Otherwise I have been using grape seed oil as a preshave. I also tried Truefiit preshave oil also as part of their sampler(off their website, good deal). I really don't feel the difference with different preshave oils. Except that Truefitt preshave oil can cost so much just because it has nice orange citrus smell to it, performance, no different from grape seed oil I have been using. But shave secret does well because I like the menthol tingling goodness. Shaving with Proraso Green Tea and Aloe soap combined with Musgo cream, gave nice mentholated shave experience.
