Tabac without a doubt. It's creamy, smells nice and makes a great lather with any brush...and I like the bowl.
Hmm, I have heard a lot about the Tabac in cream form the soap might be interesting. I will have to look up a source for that.
I doubt it. Having been around the shaving forums for about 3 years, I've heard a lot about the SOAP, not too much about the cream.
I have heard about them on these forums as well as on several other shave forums, so I am not just talking about this forum but others as well. Got fed up with my present fair in shave soaps so I am looking for candidates for more pleasant aromas in soaps and looking to start with the popular brands. Your shave store is in the running at the moment. Please make sure that your products are in stock, customers can't buy products from you that you don't have in stock.
Any opinions on Crabtree and Evelyn (C&E) soaps? I pulled out a puck of the Sandlewood only to find that have discontinued it. Argh. Anyone ever use Cornel Conk soaps? I have some on the way.
We buy so much from JoAnna, mostly because it is a good store, that at times she can not keep up. Hell even Wal Mart runs out of things at times. <I know little sis I know....>
soooo, that would make 5 Williams? eewwwww shave sticks, in my estimation, are indeed shave soap, just in stick form. but as my understanding goes you're looking at soaps you lather your brush directly onto. Williams is good, Van Der Hagen is good, Tabac is good, TSD is good, Ogallala is good, but if I could only have one it would be Uncle Albert's Amazing Solid Cream Shave Cake...unfortunately for you, it's not available in stores (online nor B&M)
Valobra is tremendous, both the stick and the soft soaps (which are a different formula, but lather very well). MWF is also wonderful, and would be in the running for The One. Fortunately, I don't have to choose, and I can have a dozen different soaps, different scents, tallowate soaps, glycerin veggie soaps, sticks, pucks... But if I did have to, MWF, Valobra, or perhaps Arko would be my choice. Regards, Tim
